These release notes describe the most important changes/fixes in version 8.0.0 of the CS R4+ software.
This release of CS R4+ introduces support for the eOrthodontic digital claim system which replaces the previous paper-based system used in Scotland and comes into effect from January 1st 2020, for further information please see the provided user guides (copies are also included on your upgrade DVD under the information folder).
User feedback received has indicated a need to be able to search for Patient’s CHI numbers outside of the Clinical environment or when submitting a claim, we have now made this search option available from the Patients Scheme Tab using the ellipsis button by the CHI Number field.
However due to the changes required under the eDental system versus the old CHI Lookup system the user will still need to indicate when used which clinician the search should be undertaken on behalf of as this informs the possible results returned so in most cases the patients registered dentist should be selected.
As part of an eDental Prior Approval request in some circumstances the board may require or request Vitality Test information to be supplied for a Prior Approval’s review, this was not available under previous CS R4+ releases, but has now been implemented and available under the Vitality Tab on a Prior Approval Claim when needed.
User feedback received has indicated that the workflow involved with setting referral reasons for patient claims was cumbersome due to having to switch between the claim and patient record windows, to help improve this we have now moved the referral reason options to the claim window to help simplify this.
An issue was identified in the previous Fee Update (SDR 32) that meant that occasional codes 5041, 5042, 5503 & 5504 charges were incorrect, this has now been addressed.
An issue was identified when adding any treatment that automatically adds the 1700 additional fee code it would also insert a Post graphic to the patients mouth chart which was incorrect, this has now been addressed.
An issue has been reported where patients are archived or removed from a Family Group any members or the Group Head updated their address information it would also update the address of the removed \ archived patient.
This was a by-product of the Shared Address feature and has been addressed, if an address is changed only active members will be updated any patients removed or archived will have their address cleared meaning that patient will now need to provide a separate address if still active or reactivated.
An issue has been identified meaning the R4+ Web API Service which is used for SMS Messaging and eSignature functionality was not being updating with newer CS R4+ releases, this would result in a mismatch that could affect use of those features. We have now addressed this so the Service will be upgraded when required in future CS R4+ releases.
The Support contact number displayed in various windows within CS R4+ have been updated to the currently active number, this should help users contact our support desk when needed
Microsoft Windows Server 2019 has been validated and is supported by R4+ from this release.
