CS R4+ v6.2.0 Product Release Notes

These release notes describe the most important changes / fixes in version 6.2.0 of the CS R4+ software.

NHS Scotland – eDental Payment Claim system support

This release of CS R4+ introduces support for the eDental payment claim system which replaces the current EDI system used in Scotland, from 1st January 2018.

NHS England, Wales & Isle of Man – Any imported claim schedules with a 1.2 UDA value always shows as adjusted

When a Payment Claim schedule was imported, if that schedule’s value was 1.2 UDA’s CS R4+ would import it as 1 UDA causing the system to think there was an adjustment, this would result in the user having to manually settle the claim, this has now been fixed so any future claims will automatically settle correctly.

NHS England – Income Support exemption containing invalid N.I numbers or were too short resulting in payment claims that could not be transmitted

If an Income support exemption was active on a patient, but their number was invalid CS R4+ would remove any invalid characters when encoding and transmitting the claim, in some circumstances the resulting N.I number would be less than 9 characters or completely blank, but the field remained in the claim.

This would result in a rejection due to the presence of an empty or invalid field, this has been corrected so if the resulting field is blank or less than the required length then the tag is removed to allow the claim to transmit for payment.

NHS England – Treatment on Referral causing an incorrect 9164 treatment banding on failed to return payment claim

After confirming with the BSA it has been identified where an extraction was marked as referred out in a course of treatment containing a completed exam & a proposed filling. When the subsequent payment claim was set to Failed to Return to indicate the patient did not return the wrong 9164 code was being transmitted not indicating the presence of incomplete treatment on the course, this has now been corrected.

NHS Northern Ireland – Definition of complete calendar months changed

The rule that governs the time allowed between treatments was previously incorrect in CS R4+ and was calculating from the date on which a treatments CoT was accepted and not the beginning of the calendar month the treatment was accepted in, this would result in a longer than mandated delay between allowed treatments, this has now been corrected.

Denplan – Scoring system updated to allow scores between 0 and 150

Previously in CS R4+ a Denplan assessment would only allow a score between 0 and 100, this was incorrect as Denplan advised an assessment can score between 0 and 150, this has now been fixed.

NHS Scotland – Child smile SIMD update for 2017

The latest child smile SIMD codes are included with this release, to update your codes simply log into CS R4+ as your administrator go to tools – Import Childsmile codes. This only needs to be done once.

ROI – GMS fee update for 2017

The latest GMS medical card fees are included with this release, this will be imported automatically if required when you login to CS R4+.

New Standard Queries added to aid Patient Filtering

Three new default queries have been added to the Report Manager, these have been added based on feedback received from our support desk from customer calls. These are:

Super User Restrictions – Ability to control use of Patient Bad Debtor Marker

Only users with the Super User permission level enabled are able to add or remove the bad debtor marker on patient records, this is only applicable for customers with Super Users on their CS R4+ system.

CS R4+ Backup fails if the output directory is being accessed

It has been reported that some setups were failing to back-up the CS R4+ database as part of a full backup, reporting an Error 70 permission denied error. This was caused by Windows File System locks not clearing before our backup processes started, this has been corrected.

Error displayed when logging out of CS R4+

A minor issue was introduced in CS R4+ v5.5.0 which resulted in an error being displayed to a user when they chose to ‘Log Out’ from the Main Menu, this has been fixed.
