CS R4+ v6.2.3 Product Release Notes

These release notes describe the most important changes/fixes in version 6.2.3 of the CS R4+ software.

eDental – Unable to transmit claims for existing under 18 Child Patients

The exemption history records created for existing under 18 patients who had an evidence state of ‘Have Doubts’ was incorrect causing CS R4+ to stop affected claims from being transmitted, upon upgrade we now correct the affected exemption records allowing all pending claims for any under 18 patients to now transmit correctly.

eDental – Patient Change of Exemption during an open Course of Treatment can result in a claim rejection

In certain scenarios where a patients exemption changes during the life-span of an open course of treatment this requires different information to also be transmitted to indicate the changes to the PSD, in some cases the required information was missing from the claim.

This has been discussed with the PSD and we have made changes to ensure the required information is now transmitted in all circumstances of exemption change, any claims currently rejected with an E000659 error should now be retransmitted.

eDental – Claims with No Treatment charge being incorrectly interpreted as requiring Prior Approval

An issue was identified that meant any claim that had no treatment charge present when transmitted was being rejected due to the Absence of the course completion date causing the eDental endpoint to assume a Prior Approval was required.

This has been corrected so claims containing treatment with no charge will now be accepted for processing under eDental, any previous claim rejections with the E000622 and E000687 error numbers present should now be retransmitted.

Northern Ireland & eDental – Claims requiring resend will no longer include a General Observation message prompting for replacement

In situations where a claim has failed to send or the PSD has requested the same submission is resent CS R4+ would automatically include text to inform the PSD that this submission should replace any previously received one of the same number.

This functionality is no longer required for Northern Ireland and Scotland, under eDental the PSD has indicated this was also causing some claim rejections as the observation message was unexpected, users should now resend any previously rejected claims due to observation reasons again.

eDental – Patient Exemption History repopulated up to 36 months

The exemption history was extended to 36 months in v6.2.2 however the missing exemption data was not being arbitrarily created for sites that had been previously already been running a previous 6.2 release. During upgrade we will now automatically generate the missing exemption history for all sites using eDental allowing long standing claims within the 36 month window to transmit upon completion.

eDental – Large batches of claims being transmitted via the ‘Send Later’ option results in an auditing error being displayed when transmitting

If a large enough number of claims were present in a batch transmission CS R4+ would display an error due to the audit record being too big to write to the database for all the claims being transmitted in one session, this has now been corrected so only the claim DSR numbers up to the audit limit are recorded so no error is displayed.

England & eDental – When attempting to view EDI Schedules with ‘PIN Protect Schedules’ enabled CS R4+ was no longer accepting correct PIN’s

An issue was recently introduced that stopped CS R4+ from correctly validating a user’s PIN when attempting to view an EDI Schedule where the ‘PIN Protect Schedules’ option is enabled.

This has now been corrected so users can now login PIN’s successfully to view schedules and for English sites the correct NHS Contract will now display on the grid against each schedule that it was received under.

eDental – Clinician DSR Number Audit action was recording incorrectly

A number of improvements have been made to the DSR number edit audit action as follows:
