These release notes describe the most important changes/fixes in version 6.8.0 of the CS R4+ software.
Further to the recent discontinuation of paper based FP17O claims additional changes have been identified by the BSA based on feedback that is required to improve the transmission of Orthodontic Claims, these are as follows..
Users will now be prompted to also provide an Aesthetic score where an IOTN Dental Score is provided for Assess + Review or Refuse + Fit Claims.
Users will no longer be allowed to transmit an IOTN Dental Score of 0 for an Assess + Appliance Fitted claim.
After further discussion with the BSA we have made several changes to align R4’s validation rules more closer with COMPASS to ensure claims do not get rejected due to a mismatch between the two systems and also so rejected claims can be corrected and resubmitted where needed, these are as follows:
CCN 35 start date adjusted from the 1st May 2019 to 1st April 2019 to allow any claims accepted from April 1st to show CCN 35 changes in alignment with COMPASS validation rules.
Transmitted Date of Acceptance will now mirror the Date of Completion for Treatment Abandon FTR, Abandon by Patient, Completed & Discontinued End of Message Claims in alignment with COMPASS validation rules.
NHS Contact Tab & Patient Declined options were not always visible for claims rejected since 1st April 2019 where the rejection reason was expecting Patient contact email or phone number or indication that the Patient had declined to provide them, these will now show where expected.
End of Message orthodontic claims accepted or completed after the 1st April 2019 were being rejected if PAR score calculated was ticked, but no Pre or Post PAR Score was present, these fields will now show where expected.
We recommend resubmitting any orthodontic claims that have shown as rejected since the 1st April 2019 to ensure any claims affected by these changes are accepted for processing as soon as possible.
An issue was identified in v6.7.0 where R4+ was including the Proposed Treatment code (9415) in the Assess + Review & Assess + Refuse Claim submissions, this has now been addressed.
Please immediately resubmit any orthodontic claims that have been rejected with the error “Treatment Code not valid according to the Claim Date or the Patient’s Age”.
An issue was identified in v6.7.0 where R4+ was transmitting an invalid Date of Referral where one had not been provided in Orthodontic Claims Accepted after the 1st April 2019, this has now been addressed so will no longer include a Date of Referral where one is not provided and will also prompt to set a Date of Referral where one is now expected.
Please immediately resubmit any orthodontic claims that’s have been rejected with the error “Invalid Date of Birth”.
