Planned appointments are a way of entering a series of appointments that may be needed to complete a course of treatment. Planned appointments can only be added in the patient's Treatment Plan window, and you can associate treatment items with specific appointments.
To add a planned appointment:
In the Treatment Plan window, right-click in the treatment grid.
From the menu options, select Add Planned Appointment. The Appointment Need window is displayed.
Select the Appointment Treatment from the drop-down list.
Under Default Duration, make changes as necessary.
Use the drop-down list next to Book in session type to select the session type.
Use the drop-down list next to With treatment provider to select the treatment provider.
Select the Restrict Booking Dates.
Select the required option from Book on Date, Book relative to neighbour, and Book relative to plan acceptance.
Click OK.
Repeat the above steps until all of the planned appointments have been added.
When planned appointments are added to the treatment plan, they are named Planned Appointment no. 2, Planned Appointment no. 3, and so on. If you want to have a more informative title, type the name in the Description (optional) field.
