Getting Started > Configuring the PracticeWorks Software
You can customize the Practice Central window to show the items you want to view, and the order in which they are displayed on the window.
To configure Practice Central for your computer:
From the File menu, select Preferences > Practice Central Preferences. The Practice Central Preferences window is displayed.
In the High Dollar Amount field, enter a dollar amount for the Today’s Appointments > $0.00 list, which displays patients due in for procedures with a dollar amount greater than this amount.
In the High Balance Amount field, enter the dollar amount for the High Balance Patients > $0.00 list, which displays patients due in who carry a balance greater than this amount.
Enter the number of months, years, minutes and days in the appropriate fields to customize the information that is displayed.
Under Practice Central Content, select the checkboxes in the list next to the information you want to be displayed.
To arrange the order of the content on the Practice Central window, select an item and click Move Up or Move Down.
Click OK.
To change the Show Practice Central at startup option, select File > Preferences > Miscellaneous defaults.
