Managing Patient Accounts > Using the Contact Experts
PracticeWorks enables you to generate a contact expert listing all your patients who had procedures requiring a follow-up call. For each patient, the Follow-up Contact Expert displays patient, contact, and appointment information.
To generate a contact expert of patients requiring a follow-up call:
Select Experts > Contact Expert > Follow-up calls. The Follow-up Expert Criteria window is displayed.
Select whether to include all producers or a specific one.
Select whether to include all doctors or a specific one.
Enter the appointment date range.
To include patients who were already contacted, select the option.
This list is generated from patients seen during a specified time period whose ledgers have a transaction code marked Requires follow-up call on the Transaction Code Definition window.
Click OK. The Follow-up Contact Expert is displayed, with the most recent contact information for each patient.
Use the buttons to access the patient’s Clipboard or appointment history. If your office utilizes the auto dial feature, you can click Auto dial to place the call.
When you contact the patient, click Contacted. The New Contract Entry window is displayed.
Enter notes from the contact in the Comments field.
Click OK.
When the patient contact is recorded, an entry is made to the Patient History record: Contacted from Follow-up Expert.
