Managing Patient Accounts > Using the Contact Experts
The Delinquent Accounts Contact Expert helps you to manage your overdue accounts and contact Responsible Parties. Run your Delinquent Accounts Contact Expert daily, or when prompted from your Office Expert.
The most common uses for the Delinquent Accounts Contact Expert are to:
Generate a list of accounts with delinquent payments so that you can contact Responsible Parties.
Generate a list of aged accounts. This is a good way to find any accounts that might have slipped through the cracks and actually be aged but not delinquent.
Contact the Responsible Parties, record contact information and set a date for follow-up.
Take other actions with accounts if you have configured your Automation Expert to do so.
To launch the Delinquent Accounts Contact Expert:
From the Experts menu, select Contact Experts > Delinquent accounts. The criteria entry window is displayed.
You can define your search to include delinquent accounts, non- delinquent accounts with aged balances, and accounts that have been previously contacted about their past due balances.
Enter your search criteria for the following variables:
Which delinquent accounts (past due date) to include
Which aged account categories to include
A/R Administrator
Click OK. After the search is complete, the Delinquent Account Contact Expert window is displayed.
You can click Auto dial to access the on-screen dialer to phone the patient.
When you select entries in the list, the bottom half of the window displays the details of the selected entry. Click Actions to choose whether to apply the action to the entire list, or to the selected record.
The Contact information area displays the date of the last contact for the selected patient. Click Contacted to access the New Contact Entry window.
