Using the Appointment Confirm/Review Contact Expert

Use the Appointment Confirm/Review Contact Expert to create lists of appointments based on criteria that you select so that you can contact associated patients.

The three most common uses for this Contact Expert are to:

To launch the Appointment Confirm/Review Contact Expert:

  1. From the Experts menu, select Contact Experts > Appointment confirm/review. The criteria entry window is displayed.

  2. Enter your search criteria for the following variables:

  1. Click OK to generate the results. After the search is complete, the Appointment Confirm/Review Contact Expert window is displayed.  When you select entries in the list, the bottom half of the window displays the details of the currently highlighted entry.

    At the bottom of the window, the total number of appointments, and the number of appointments marked to print are displayed.

  2. Use the Print this patient, Don’t print patient, Print ALL patients, and Print no patients buttons to determine which records are marked for printing in the Print column.

  3. To print this contact expert, click Print report. The Document Configuration window is displayed.

  4. Select a printer, Print to Printer, Print Preview, or select Advanced to configure and save printing options for this report.

  5. Use the Actions button to choose whether to apply the action to the entire list, or to the selected record.

You can click Auto dial to access the on-screen dialer to phone the patient, or you can print a card to send the patient a reminder, or print a labels for other types of mailings.

You can use the other buttons to access other windows and features in PracticeWorks, such as Clipboard information and Appointment History.
