Using the Patient Chart Buttons

You can access the patient chart from several areas within the software:

After finding a patient using the OrthoTrac Patient Lookup window
After adding a new patient
From the patient flow module
From the charting module

	Patient Checkout Enables you to close out a patient appointment on today’s schedule. See Using the OrthoTrac Scheduling Module.
	Patient Information Enables you to view and edit a patient’s demographic information and additional patient data. See Using the Patient Information Window.
	Schedule Appointment Enables you to schedule and view patient appointments or recalls. See Using the OrthoTrac Scheduling Module.
	Financial Functions Enables you to post a payment or create a contract. See Performing Financial Functions.
	Claims Enables you to create and process insurance claims, both manually and automatically. See Performing Insurance Functions.
	Word Processing Enables you to set up and manage automatically generated letters, triggered by patient procedures, treatment plans, payments, and so on. Communications questionnaires are also set up and maintained in this area of the software. See Using the OrthoTrac Word Processing Module.
	Snapshot This additional module enables you to attach a patient photo to a patient chart. When used with CS Orthodontic Imaging (an additional product), the snapshot module automatically loads photos from a patient’s image chart in orthodontic imaging into the patient chart. See Using the Snapshot Module.
	Charting This additional module enables you to automate treatment information by showing an overview of a patient’s treatment history. Using the charting module, you can enter or edit a part of today’s treatment information, display treatment history, and print reports containing treatment information. See Using the OrthoTrac Charting Module.
	Patient Tracking Enables you to track patients through various stages of treatment. See Using Patient Tracking.
	Database Fields Enables you to track patient-related information that is not already tracked by the software. The criteria can be an account balance, a hobby, school attended, demographic information, and so on. This information is used by Contact Experts when running reports. See Using Database Fields.
	CS Orthodontic Imaging Enables you to open a patient’s image chart in the CS Orthodontic Imaging software (an additional product).
	OrthoTrac Enables you to minimize the patient chart and access the main menu. See Understanding OrthoTrac.
	Patient Lookup Enables you to close the current patient chart and select a new patient chart.
