Patient Chart -- Terminology and Concepts

Familiarize yourself with the following terms and concepts you encounter when using the patient chart:

• Patient InformationPatient Information

  Enables you to view and edit a patient's demographic information and enter additional patient data.

• SnapshotSnapshot

  An additional module that enables you to attach a photo of a patient or responsible party to the patient chart.

• ChartingCharting

  An additional module that enables you to automate treatment information by showing an overview of a patient's treatment history. Using the charting module, you can enter or edit a part of today's treatment information, display treatment history, and print reports containing treatment information from inside the patient chart.

• Patient TrackingPatient Tracking

  Enables you to view logged records of appointments, posted letters, and procedures performed for a patient. If you are using the Document Storage feature, you can also keep electronic copies of your patient-related correspondence, as well as scan in copies of letters, insurance cards, and so on.
