Using the OrthoTrac Scheduling Module > Scheduling Appointments from the Patient Chart > Using the Schedule Appointment Calendar
The recall feature enables you to track your patients who are not due back in your office for several months to a year. Recalls are also used for patients who need the first available appointment or patients who missed an appointment and need to reschedule.
Recalls can only be scheduled from within the patient chart. Recalls can automatically be scheduled when you run the No-Show report.
You cannot see recall appointments on your schedule appointment book. The recall function enables you to create a tickler file to track your recall patients. Then you can produce a list, labels, or recall cards for a requested month so that you can contact your recall patients.
To schedule a patient recall:
From the patient's chart, select Functions > Schedule Appointment. The Appointment summary view is displayed.
Click Schedule Appointment. The View Schedule window is displayed.
In the Recalls standard, select a time option. Enter the type and a comment and click Add Recall.
If a patient already has a recall, a reminder is displayed. The software can create recalls automatically based on no-shows.
To view the patient's recall status, close the View Schedule window. The patient chart window is displayed.
Click Recalls. The patient's recall appointments are listed.
To schedule a recall appointment, click Add Recall.
To change an existing recall
appointment, select it and click Change Recall.
For patients who have more than one recall appointment listed, use
the left and right arrows at the top of the Recalls standard to select
a recall appointment. A message is displayed, prompting you to remove
all recalls after scheduling the appointment.
To print a list of patients who have recalls during a specific month, select Reports > Schedule > Recall List from the main menu. You can also print recall labels or recall cards.
