Using the OrthoTrac Scheduling Module > Scheduling Appointments from the Patient Chart
You can change patient appointments and indicate the reason for the change — changed by the patient, changed by the office, or due to error. You can schedule a new appointment for the patient, and the old appointment time is available for a different patient.
The reasons for changing an appointment are recorded in the following areas:
To change a patient appointment:
From the patient chart, select Functions > Schedule Appointment. The Appointment summary view is displayed.
To the right of the appointment you want to delete, click the red X icon. The Cancel Appointment window is displayed.
Select the reason for changing the appointment from the following options:
by Patient
by Office
due to error
By default, the Copy appointment to clipboard option is selected. Click OK. The appointment is placed on the clipboard to be resecheduled and the View Schedule window is displayed.
Select the desired options for the appointment and click Find Appointment to reschedule the appointment.
If the appointment type displayed in the top half of the Appointment Details window differs from the appointment type displayed in the bottom half of the window, you must have Override Pre-Block security permissions to transfer information.
