Using Additional Modules, Products, and Services > Additional Products > Using the Fingerprint Scanner
With the release of version 14.0 of the OrthoTrac software, the fingerprint scanner is no longer supported.
If you have the proper security permissions and need to perform a log-in security override, you can use the fingerprint scanner instead of typing your user name and password.
When the Security Override window is displayed, place your finger firmly on the scanner. Your fingerprint is scanned automatically, and if you are authorized to perform the requested function, you are given access to the function.
If your fingerprint is recognized but you do not have the proper security authorization, a message is displayed, stating that your security profile does not allow access to that area of the software.
If your fingerprint does not
match a fingerprint in the database, a message is displayed, stating
that the fingerprint scanned did not match an existing staff member
and to try again or log on manually.
Click OK. The Security Override window is
displayed. Scan your fingerprint again, or type your user name and
password to continue.
