The following new enhancements are available in the WinOMS software, version 9.6:
Report Enhancements
The Reports view has been updated, displaying a list of reports by category. Click the Reports menu to view the new All Reports window. Select a report to access the criteria entry fields and details.
A Provider Daily KPI report was added to Daily reports. This calculates collections, production, and doctor days for the month, and a provider's total visits for the month for all offices.
An Unscheduled Treatment Plans report was added to Financial reports to enable you to follow up with patients who have not scheduled appointments for planned services. This displays treatment plans that are proposed but not completed, as well as patient contact information, line items for each treatment plan, and the financial totals for the suggested services.
To turn off the new Reports layout and return to the previous menu configuration, select Utilities > My Computer Settings > Layout Settings, and select Enable Old Report Layout. Click OK.
An administrator must grant users security level access for these reports. See Setting Up Security Levels for more information.
For more information, see Provider Daily KPI Reports and Treatment Plan Reports.
Table Enhancements
The Tables view has been updated, enabling you to access and update Data Entry windows for your practice and office settings. Most of the data entry windows perform as they did before, but the new All Tables window provides a sorted list, with entry fields, search criteria, and relevant actions displayed on the right for a selected item. The new interface makes it easier to edit and save multiple tables without closing the window, and to refresh or reload search results.
To turn off the new Tables layout and return to the previous menu configuration, select Utilities > My Computer Settings > Layout Settings, and select Enable Old Table Layout. Click OK.
ADA 2019 Claim Form
The ADA 2019 Dental Claim form contains an option to enter Unspecified (U) for a patient's gender. The form no longer accepts ICD-9 diagnosis codes.
CDT Code Updates for 2020
The software contains the 2020 CDT code set for use beginning January 1, 2020. Before you can access the new CDT codes, you must use the Code Update utility to apply the changes.
You are required to accept the End-User License Agreement (EULA) before processing the CDT code update.
For more information, see Managing CDT Codes and Applying CDT Code Changes.
ICD-10 Code Updates for FY2020
When you installed version 9.6 the ICD-10 diagnosis code set was updated to include new codes and code changes for the fiscal year 2020. The updated code set contains the codes you need for patient encounters occurring from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020.
