Beginning with version 9.6, WinOMS provides a way for organizations with large group practices to organize groups of offices and practices, and generate reports that enable them to better organize and manage their business.
For information on purchasing the Enterprise license, contact your Carestream Dental Representative.
You can use WinOMS Enterprise Support to:
Set up Corporate Users with security level access to Enterprise features and reports.
Centralize management of tables and fee schedules for multiple practices.
Organize practices into groups based on areas and regions.
Use Enterprise-level reports to track the performance of multiple practices and groups.
When the Enterprise license is activated, you can set up Corporate users for the enterprise. Unlike Practice level users who can only see tables and data for their own practices, Corporate users can access and manage tables and reporting functions for all the practices and offices in the enterprise.
Corporate users automatically have Admin-level security access, but only Corporate users can create Location Groups, set up practices and assign offices, assign practices to groups, and access Enterprise-level reporting.
To assign Corporate user status:
Log in to WinOMS as an Admin user.
Select Tables > Users > Users. The Confirm Password window is displayed.
Enter your password and click Ok. The User Names window is displayed.
Select a user and click Edit. The Update User Name window is displayed.
Under Access, use the drop-down list to select Corporate. The Security Level becomes ADMIN, and the Practice and Processing Center selections are deactivated.
Select a Posting Office and click Ok.
The user must exit WinOMS and log in again to see the Enterprise feature options.
Once you have been set up as a Corporate user, you can use WinOMS as either a Corporate or a Practice user. Operate as a Corporate user when performing Enterprise-level functions; switch to Practice user mode to see only the data from a particular practice.
To switch to Practice user mode:
Select File > Select Practice. The Select Practice window is displayed, with All Practices selected.
Select a Practice from the list, select an Office, and then click Ok.
To return to Corporate user mode:
