Rescheduling Appointments

When you begin to reschedule an existing appointment, or schedule an unbooked appointment, the appointment tile changes appearance to indicate it is in reschedule mode. The tile turns pink and hovers above the day view. It remains there while you navigate dates and time slots to find the appropriate time for the appointment.

When you find the date and time you want, drag the tile over the new time slot and release the mouse. The tile drops into the slot and returns to its default color.

You can reschedule an appointment by clicking Rebook in the appointment tile, card, or flyout, or from the Confirmation, Pending, or Short Call lists. You can also reschedule directly from the day view.

To reschedule an appointment from the day view:

  1. Click and hold your mouse over the appointment tile. The appointment tile turns pink and hovers in reschedule mode.

  2. Use the calendar to select another date. The date is displayed with the appointment tile still hovering.

  3. Drag the appointment to the new time and release your mouse.

  4. If you attempt to reschedule a recare appointment to a date prior to the calculated recare due date, a warning is displayed with a link that takes you to the first allowable date for the recare. This helps prevent the rejection of insurance claims that can occur when recare is scheduled too early.
