Sending SMS Messages

To sent an SMS message to a patient:

  1. Log in to Patient Bridge using a Practice Manager account.

  2. On the main menu, select Patient > Patient Search

  3. Click Actions.

  4. Select Send Communications.

  5. Select the template and click Send.  

To send a custom SMS message to a patient:

  1. Log in to Patient Bridge using a Practice Manager account.

  2. On the main menu, select Patients > Patient Search.

  3. Click Actions.

  4. Select Quick SMS.  The patient's mobile number is automatically populated.

  5. Select a template to send to the patient.

  6. Enter a message in the text field. This message cannot include any data fields or form links from Virtual Waiting Room.

  7. Click Send.

Setting Up Responses to SMS Reminders

To set up SMS reminder responses:

  1. Log in to Patient Bridge using a Practice Manager account.

  2. From the main menu, select Communications.

  3. Click Reminders

  4. Click Manage Templates.  

  5. Click Add Template.

  6. Select SMS as the format and give the template a name.

  7. In the Template Type field, select Interactive (2 way).

  8. In the Reply field, type CONFIRM

Note: Only the word Confirm enables a response to R4.

  1. In the Content field, type the body of the reminder, using the merge fields on the right as needed.

  2. Scroll down and click Save.
