Creating a Prompt for Patients in Collections

Once an account has been turned over to a collection agency, you might want to create a reminder message that will appear on screen if that patient tries to schedule an appointment. This can be accomplished with a Yellow Sticky note.

To create a message that will warn staff members that this account is in collections:

  1. Open the Clipboard of the patient in question.

  2. Click the Yellow Sticky icon in the upper-right corner of the Clipboard.

  3. Create a new Yellow Sticky with an appropriate message such as, "Attention! This patient's account was turned over to a collection agency on date (MM/DD/YY)."

  4. Click Attach.

  5. Select your desired options under Automatically display on screen. Usually, selecting when making appointments and at patient check-in will be sufficient, but include all that apply.

  6. Click OK.
