If you add procedures to a patient’s treatment card for an unscheduled appointment, the software prompts you and asks if you want to update the treatment plan.
Unscheduled appointments are displayed on the Tx Plan tab in the following manner:
Emergency appointments are displayed in purple on top of the Tx Plan time line.
Emergency appointments are displayed in purple in the Tx Plan tree.
Walk-in appointments are displayed in black in the Tx Plan tree.
To add an unscheduled appointment to a treatment plan:
Add the walk-in patient to patient flow, following the steps described in Adding a Patient in Patient Flow or schedule the emergency appointment as you typically would.
Add the procedures performed for the patient on the Tx Card tab and click OK. The Treatment Plan Step Options window is displayed.
Select the appropriate option and click OK.
Continue checking the patient out as you typically would.
