A treatment plan is a series of steps used to define a patient’s course of treatment. The Treatment Plan Maintenance window enables you to create and edit treatment plan templates, which comprise a number of treatment steps. You can set up treatment plan steps by procedure code or by appointment type, and you can also search by procedure code when scheduling the next treatment plan step from inside the patient chart. Initially, you develop a number of templates to cover most orthodontic treatment options. After the templates are created, you can copy and customize a template for each patient.
In order to use treatment plans, you must have purchased the charting module, an additional module of OrthoTrac.
