Configuring OrthoTrac > Setting Up the OrthoTrac Charting Module
Select Functions > Maintenance/Set-up > Charting Maintenance from the menu bar.
The following settings are found at the lower-right of the Charting Options window:
Number of Chairs for Light BarNumber of Chairs for Light Bar
If your office is using the Patient Flow module, set this field to indicate the number of physical chairs where patients can be seated. This can be different from the number of chairs on your schedule. The maximum number of chairs that can be displayed on the Light Bar is 18.
The value entered in this field is also displayed in the Number of Chairs for Light Bar field on the Light Bar Options tab of the Patient Flow Setup and Maintenance window. It is necessary to set only one of the fields; the value entered in one field is automatically entered in the other.
Procedure ID DigitsProcedure ID Digits
Set this field to indicate the number of digits your procedure codes use. The default is 3 (001 - 998). If your procedure codes are only two digits (01 - 98), set this field to 2.
Two-digit procedure codes must be entered as two digits only; do not add a leading 0 to make them 3 digits when using keyboard entry (for example, 20 should not be entered as 020).
If this field is set to 2 but you have 3-digit codes, only the two right digits display when posting today’s treatment. This can cause posting errors.
