Configuring OrthoTrac > Setting Up the OrthoTrac Charting Module
The Treatment Plan Status section contains status types that you create which are used to indicate the reason for deactivating a patient’s treatment plan. More...More...
When a patient’s treatment plan is active, that patient has a status of Active, and this status is printed on the Treatment Plan report.
If a patient completes his treatment, or if he is moving out of the area and cannot continue treatment, you would deactivate the treatment plan and use the treatment plan status of Complete, or Transfer (or whatever your practice prefers) to indicate the reason the plan has been deactivated.
This status also prints on the Treatment Plan report.
To add a treatment plan status:
Select Functions > Maintenance/Set-up > Charting Maintenance from the menu bar.
In the Treatment Plan Status section, click Edit. The Edit Treatment Plan Status window is displayed.
Select an optionoption.
To add a new status, click Add New and type the status you want to add in the field. Click OK.
The status description is limited to 30 characters, but only 15 characters display on the Treatment Plan report.
To change an existing status, select the status you want to change and click Change. Type your change in the field and click OK.
If you change a status code, all patients with that code are changed.
To remove a status, select the status you want to remove and click Remove. The software prompts you, asking if you are sure you want to remove the status. Click Yes.
Click OK to close the Edit Treatment Plan Status window and return to the Charting Maintenance window.
