Oral Hygiene Codes

The software comes with a list of oral hygiene codes you can use to indicate a patient’s oral hygiene cooperation. You can edit these codes or add new codes to suit the needs of your practice. To view the available codes, click on the scroll bar.

To add an oral hygiene code, edit a code, or delete a code from the list:

1. From the main menu, select Functions > Maintenance/Set-up > Charting Maintenance.

2. In the Oral Hygiene Codes section, click Edit. The Oral Hygiene window is displayed.

3. Select one of the available options.

   • To add a code to the list, click Add New. A blank Edit Oral Hygiene Codes window is displayed. In the Code field, type the new one-character oral hygiene code, either a number or a letter, and type a comment in the Comment field. Click OK.

   • To change a code in the list, select the code you want to change and click Change. Type your changes in the Code or Comment fields and click OK.

   • To delete a hygiene code from the list, select the code you want to delete and click Remove. Click OK.

4. Click OK.
