Closing Patient Flow on the Patient Check-In Computer

To prevent a patient from closing the Patient Flow Check-In window, it can only be closed using a special shut-down procedure. This procedure varies, depending on the type of check-in setup you are using (touch screen, mouse, or keyboard).

• Using a Touch Screen or MouseUsing a Touch Screen or Mouse

  Click with your mouse or touch the screen in the corners of the Patient Flow Check-In keypad (any display type) in the following order:

  1. Lower-left corner

  2. Upper-right corner

  3. Lower-right corner

  4. Upper-left corner

• Using a KeyboardUsing a Keyboard

  If your check-in computer has a keyboard, press Shift + * to close the Patient Flow Check-In window and return to the desktop.
