Adding Band/Bracket History

On the tooth chart tab, you can enter history information about the types and sizes of brackets and bands you installed in a patient, as well as their location, in the Band/Bracket History section.

Some practices prefer to use this section to record such things as tooth rotation, torque, or other types of tooth history. You can rename the Band/Bracket History section to more accurately reflect the type of history information you are recording. Change the label on this section and the information it contains by using the Charting Maintenance window. See Label Descriptions for more information.

To add bracket or band history to the tooth chart:

Select the tooth for which you want to add band or bracket history.
In the Band/Bracket History section, click <Add New Entry>. The Band/Bracket History window is displayed.
Select the entry you want to display in the Band/Bracket History section and click OK. The entry is displayed in the section, along with the current date.
If the desired entry is not in the list, click <Free Form>. The Free Form Prompt window is displayed.

Type the new entry and click OK. A prompt is displayed, asking if you would like to add this entry to the list for future use. Select Yes unless this is a one-time entry for this patient only.

An “i” icon is displayed on teeth which have history information or comments attached to them. Click on the tooth to view the history or comment in the Band/Bracket History section.

Click Apply on the Tooth Chart tab.
