Using Audit Trails

Using the audit trails features you can track the following:

• Transactions

• Scheduling

• Prescriptions

• Patient information

• Charts

• Security settings

• PracticeToGo

• Reports

• Archived Transactions

• Time Card

The following are tracked in the audit trail:

• Name of the user who performs a security-protected task

• Date and time the task is performed

You can generate the following Audit Trail reports:

• Transaction Audit Trail:Contains a record of every deletion or modification, including back-dating, to transactions, patients, and account records.

• Scheduler Audit Trail:Tracks the dates and times appointments were made, shortened, lengthened, canceled, or added to the Pending Appt List.

• Prescription Audit Trail:Contains a record of every prescription issued by a provider.

• Patient Information Audit Trail:Contains a record of all changes made to patient demographic data (excluding changes to clinical data).

• Charting Audit Trail:Lists every patient's deleted chart or clinical note.

• HIPAA Security Audit Trail:Documents failed logins to the software due to password error and successful overrides of features that require passwords.

• PracticeToGo Audit Trail:Tracks Palm users and the work performed.

• Reports Audit Trail:Supplies you with a description of all reports run by your office.

• Time Card Audit Trail:Displays a list of changes made to employees' time cards.
