Customizing Transaction Codes
Using the Transaction Code List
To customize the information displayed in the Transaction
Code List window, select one of the following options:
Medical
codes Displays medical
codes by your practice.
Dental
codes Displays ADA CDT
codes that designate the dental treatment received by the patient.
Insurance
payment codes Displays codes
that designate an insurance payment.
Comments Displays
codes that clarify the status of an action, or communicate information.
Automatic Displays
all automatic adjustment codes.
Diagnostic
codes Displays ICD-10
medical diagnosis codes. Use the Transaction Code Definition window
to select ICD-9 or ICD-10 codes.
Patient
payment codes Displays ledger
codes used to enter patient payments, such as CHK for check payments.
Adjustment
codes Displays codes
that increase or decrease account balances. You can designate adjustment
codes for collection, production, or other.
Tip
The Transaction Code List window includes the following
buttons:
OK Launches
a window with details about the selected code.
Cancel Exits
the Transaction Code List window.
Add Launches
a window with blank fields. To add a transaction code, type the information
and select the options for the new code.
Edit Launches
a window in which you can modify the options for the selected code.
Remove Deletes
the selected code.
