Using the Recreate Function

The Recreate option can be used only on the last batch transmitted and retrieved when there has been a total batch rejection. You must correct the error that caused the batch to be rejected before using this option.

When you select Recreate, the software displays a warning prompt, asking if you want to continue. The default is Yes, so you must proceed with caution. Using this option on a claims batch that has been successfully transmitted and retrieved causes a duplicate claim, thus incurring additional fees from the clearinghouse.
