Setting Up the Modem

To set up a modem for use with the automated statement service:

  1. Select Functions > Maintenance/Set-up > eServices Setup from the menu bar. The eServices Setup window is displayed.

  2. In the XComm window, select Options. The Default Format window is displayed.

  3. If the Modem entry at the bottom of the window indicates COM1, and you know your modem is on COM1, click OK to close the Default Format window and return to the XComm window. Click Exit to close the window. The XComm setup is complete.

OR

If the modem is not on the COM1 port, continue with these steps.

  1. Click Configure. The PortCtl Class Properties window is displayed.

  2. If the modem connection is not listed in the Port field, select the Misc tab.

  3. In the Unattached ports field, select Show from the drop-down list.

  4. In the Modem Ports field, select Show from the drop-down list.

  5. Click Apply and select the Port tab.

  6. In the Port field, select the port from the drop-down list and click OK to close the window and return to the Default Format window.

  7. Click OK to return to the XComm window and click Exit. The XComm setup is complete.
