OPERATOR

Early release of X-ray exposure switch

The user released the X-ray exposure switch before the end of the exposure.

Quickly press on the selection knob to stop the alarm.

Press and hold the exposure switch until the end of the exposure. Wait until the bip ends before you release the switch.

If the X-ray exposure switch was released before the end of the exposure cycle, you may save or develop the radiography. The remaining exposure time is displayed on the control timer unit.

The X-ray exposure switch or its wiring is defective.

Check the wiring, the X-ray exposure switch, and the electrical contact points.

Replace the defective parts.

The error is displayed when the X-ray exposure switch is enabled,. It happens often and unexpectedly.

E02

XRAY_SWITCH

X-ray control enabled when switching ON the unit

The exposure switch or its wiring is defective.

Check the wiring, the exposure switch and the electrical contact points. Replace the defective parts.

It appears on a CS 2200 unit if you use a CS 2100 control timer unit as an interface to access the technician menus.

If the problem persists, change the CJ718 powerboard.

E13

KV_FEEDBACK_SYS

kV return error (no-load value different from 0)

kV return connection error

Defective connections/wirings on kV return (i.e. disconnected J6 connector)

Switch OFF and ON the unit. If the error persists, do the following:

- Check the wiring and electrical contact points.

- Replace any defective parts.

Generator failure (kV return)

- Disconnect the generator and use an ohmmeter to check that the value between the yellow and blue generator wires are between 11kohms and 15kohms

- Change the generator.

CJ718 powerboard failure

- Change the powerboard.

E14

E15

kV_FEEDBACK_LOW

kV_FEEDBACK_HIGH

Low kV return

High kV return

Long period of generator inactivity

Switch OFF and ON the unit. If the error persists, carry out tube seasoning procedures. See Performing the Tube Seasoning.

Incorrect CJ718 generator calibration

Do a PR 4 parameter autocalibration. See Resetting and Autocalibration.

Defective wiring

Check the wiring and electrical contact points.

Replace any defective parts.

CJ718 powerboard failure

Change the CJ718 powerboard.

E16

FMIN_SYS

No signal frequency inverter error

CJ718 powerboard failure

-Switch OFF and ON the unit. If the error persists, change the CJ718 powerboard

E17

E18

FMIN_LOW

FMIN_HIGH

Too low inverter frequency

Too high inverter frequency

CJ718 powerboard failure

Switch OFF and ON the unit. If the error persists, change the CJ718 powerboard.

E20

HEATING_VOLTAGE_SYS

Error in voltage measure of heating filament (no-load value different from 0)

Disconnected or poorly connected generator when running the auto-calibration procedure.

- Switch OFF and ON the unit. If the error persists, do the following:

- Check the wiring and electrical contact points.

- Change the defective wire.

E21

HEATING_VOLTAGE_LOW

Too low voltage for filament heating

Incorrect CJ718 powerboard calibration

Do a PR 4 parameter autocalibration. See Resetting and Autocalibration.

E22

HEATING_VOLTAGE_HIGH

Too high voltage for filament heating

CJ718 powerboard failure

Change the CJ718 powerboard.

E23

HEATING_CURRENT_SYS

Error in current for filament heating (no-load value different from 0)

E24

HEATING_CURRENT_LOW

Too low current for filament heating

Generator failure (X-ray tube heating filament circuit)

- Switch OFF and ON the unit. If the error persists, do the following:

- Do an Ohmmeter test (<1ohm) between the purple and blue generator wires.

-Change the generator

Commonly results from a broken X-ray tube filament

Defective wiring (X-ray tube heating filament circuit)

- Do an ohmmeter test between the blue and purple wires on CJ718 slot J2

- Change the defective components

CJ718 powerboard failure

Change the CJ718 powerboard

E30

POWER_ALARM

Problem with line voltage setting or filtering capacitor

Incorrect configuration of the CJ718 powerboard voltage

Check the CJ718 powerboard jumper configuration for adaptation to the adequate voltage (the components that are referenced as 1a, 1b, and 2 on the electrical schema).

If not adequate with main voltage, change the CJ718 powerboard.

The unit power supply is out of the voltage range for proper use.

Check the electrical installation with emphasis on power supply voltage and connections.

- 90 V -144 V for 110 V

- 207 V and 264 V for 230 V
