Troubleshooting

When you record a patient's vital signs in connected mode, the data is stored as a text file in the directory C:\\WinOMSCS\Temp. When you select the Stop button to stop the recording, the data points are transferred into the patient's record, and the temporary file is automatically deleted.

However, if you select Ask me to Clean Up Temporary Files from Anesthesia Monitor on the Anesthesia Records Preferences window, you are prompted before the deletion of the text file. If you select No, the file remains in the temporary folder.

If the data file is lost during the process of saving it to the patient's record, and the text file has not been deleted, a button is displayed on the Surgery - Vitals tab that enables you to retrieve the data.

To retrieve the data:

  1. From the Surgery - Vitals tab of the patient's anesthesia record, click Import. The software prompts you to confirm the importation of the vitals data file.

  2. Click OK. The software populates the graph with the vital sign data points.

  3. Click OK to save the record.
