To submit claims electronically:
You must assign a 5-digit payer ID number to the insurance companies that are capable of accepting electronic claims.
The Auto IDs feature matches the insurance companies in your database with the appropriate payer ID numbers.
To submit claims electronically to insurance companies that do not accept electronic claims:
You have the option to submit claims electronically through SoftDent to a clearinghouse.
The clearinghouse prints and mails the claims to the insurance companies.
These claims are called "paper electronic" claims.

Additional enrollment forms before accepting electronic claims:
A provider number on file before accepting electronic claims:
These insurance companies send written confirmation after completed enrollment; without confirmation, the claims are rejected.
To submit claims to companies requiring enrollment, contact a technical support representative to obtain the enrollment forms.
