SoftDent, version 12.5, includes the following additional enhancements:

Enabling Electronic Statements

A new Enable e-statement service checkbox has been added to the Billing Statement Settings window. This checkbox must be selected before your office can send electronic statements.

• If you are an existing e-statement service customer, this setting is selected by default.

Electronic Router Access Added to Charting

You can now add an Electronic Router button to the Common toolbar in charting. This enables you to open the Electronic Router in the patient's chart and schedule a follow-up appointment without opening the InOffice or Daily Appointments windows. For more information, see Using the Common Toolbar.

Enabling Topaz Electronic Signature Pads

A new Use Topaz Electronic Signature Pad checkbox has been added to the Startup Preferences window. You must select this setting whether you are a new or existing user of a Topaz signature pad. For more information, see Setting Startup Preferences.

Delete Dangling TeamTalk Notes Utility

The Delete Dangling TeamTalk Notes utility has been added to the SoftDent Utilities Maintenance menu. When you run the utility, the software searches through all of the TeamTalk notes and removes any dangling notes. For more information, see Running the Delete Dangling TeamTalk Notes Utility.

Referral Source Analysis Report

The Referral Source Analysis report has been added to the Practice Management report menu. This report displays the number of patients—and their production amounts—who have visited your office in the specified time periods by each referring doctor, grouped by categories that you create. A Referral Categories database has been added, in which you can create your own categories—for example, a specific region or a specific hygienist—to track referral revenue. For more information, see Creating Referral Categories.

Business Intelligence Shortcut

A Business Intelligence shortcut is installed on your workstation’s desktop when you install SoftDent. Double-click the shortcut to access the website for Sikka Software, a provider of Business Intelligence software for dental professionals. Sikka Software products integrate with SoftDent and your practice’s financial software to give you critical information on vital areas of your practice.
