Using National Electronic Attachments, Inc. (NEA) Services

National Electronic Attachments, Inc. (NEA) is a clearinghouse that uses its FastAttach service to transmit attachments, in support of electronic claims, to payors via the Internet.

Attachments include:

Images
X-rays
Narrative explanations

To use the FastAttach service with the software, you must perform the following:

Enroll with NEA for the FastAttach service.
Receive an NEA assigned Facility ID for your practice.
Download the NEA software on each workstation where images will be attached to claims.
SoftDent Cloud users must use the Configure NEA option found under System > Modules > NEA FastAttach > Configure NEA. You need to configure the software only on one machine.
Associate each insurance company with an NEA Payor in the software.
Call an NEA technical support representative with any questions about using the FastAttach service.
