What's New in 9.1

CS PracticeWorks, version 9.1, includes the following new functionality:

Insurance Claims Window Updates

The Insurance Claims window has been updated to make it easier to locate specific claims. You can also archive claims to improve the speed for searching through non-archived claims.

The path: Lists > Insurance Claims now includes the options Main claims list and Archived claims list.

Select Main claims list to access the Insurance Claims window:

Improved functionality enables you to find claims:

NEA Filters

If you are using the NEA FastAttach Software with PracticeWorks, additional filters and action buttons are displayed on this window, as well as an NEA Status column.

Archiving Claims

You can manage the number and type of claims displayed in the Insurance Claims window without permanently losing the claims that are not displayed. By archiving claims with a status of Refused, Collected, Dead claim, or Not sent, you can keep the claims in the main window to a number that can be quickly searched, filtered, and viewed.

To archive insurance claims:

  1. In the Insurance Claims main window, select the filters: Refused, Collected, Paper, and Electronically.

  1. Use the date range and additional filters to define the list of claims to archive.

  2. Click Filter Claims. The filtered list is displayed and the Archive buttons are activated under Claim actions.

  3. Select a claim from the list and click Archive claim, or click Archive all to archive the entire list. You are prompted to continue the action.

  4. Click OK. When the archiving process is complete, another prompt is displayed asking if you want to reset the filters and view the other claims.

  5. Click OK. The Insurance Claims window displays the claims that have not been archived.

Restoring Archived Claims

To access archived claims, select Lists > Insurance Claims > Archived claims list. Use the filters and search features to locate the claim you want, as well as view details and procedures for a selected claim.

To restore an archived claim, select it in the Archived Insurance Claims window and click Restore claim, or click Restore all to return all claims in the displayed list to the Insurance Claims window.

For more information, see Using the Insurance Claims Window.
