Setting Up the Software for ePostings Integration

Before you begin using the ePostings service, you must enable the integration. If you want to display notifications in Practice Central, you must set the preference for that as well. Insurance companies are configured automatically when ePostings payments are received, but you can also select the option manually.

Enabling ePostings in Your Software

To enable the ePostings integration:

From the Windows Start menu, select All Programs > CS PracticeWorks > Configuration of CS PracticeWorks. The Configuration of CS PracticeWorks Software window is displayed.
Select Setup > PRACTICEWORKS eClaim Service. The PRACTICEWORKS eClaims Service Settings window is displayed.
Select Enable ePostings Integration.
Click OK.

Practice Central

The ePostings Notifications section of the Practice Central window lists the number of outstanding ePostings payments and the status, such as Ready or Needs Attention. Click the notification to display the ePostings Payments window.

To display ePostings notifications in Practice Central:

Select File > Preferences > Practice Central Preferences. The Practice Central Preferences window is displayed.
Under Practice Central Content, select ePostings Notifications.
Click OK.

Insurance Companies

When an ePostings payment is received, the software automatically enables the ePostings Capable option for that insurance company, but you have the option of changing it manually if needed.

When an insurance company is set up for ePostings integration, the software displays a warning for any attempt to post an insurance payment using a non-ePostings interface.

To manually configure an insurance company for ePostings integration:

Select Lists > Insurance companies. The Insurance Company List is displayed.
Select a company in the list and click Edit. The Insurance Company Definition window is displayed.
Select the ePostings Capable option to enable or disable ePostings for the insurance company.
Click OK.
