Processing ePostings Payments

When ePostings payment information has been received from the Electronic Services clearinghouse, you are notified via the Office Expert, or the Practice Central window. You can access the ePostings Payments window by clicking either of those notifications, or from the ePostings Service option on the Activities menu.

You can post a payment by selecting Post from the ePostings Payments window or Post All from the ePostings Claims/Details window. These buttons are only enabled when the status of the payment or claim is Ready to Post. The Detailed Status and Posting Status fields describe in blue text what actions need to occur before posting.

To process an ePostings Payment:

  1. Select Activities > ePostings Service > ePostings Payments. The ePostings Payments window is displayed.

  2. Select the payment in the list. The following information is displayed for the payment: detailed status, summary of postable claims in the Claims to Post section, and the postable and non-postable amounts in the Posting Summary section.

  3. Click View ePostings Claims/Details. The ePostings Claims/Details window is displayed with a list of the claims that were addressed in the payment.

  4. Click on a claim in the list to view details about the claim, including:

  1. Use the active options for a selected claim to do the following:

  1. Click Post All. If this button is not enabled, check the details in the Posting Status field to determine what action to take.

  2. Click Close to exit this window. The Claims to Post Summary, Posting Summary, and Detailed Status fields are updated for this payment in the ePostings Payments window.
