Using the PracticeWorks Utilities
This utility recalculates the following items:
Payment plan balances
Account balances
Contract balances
Outstanding insurance for each Responsible Party
Each day's ending A/R balance for each A/R Administrator and Doctor
To run the Totals Recalculator:
Select the options you want to run.
Select Zap DR-BAL.DAT if you have removed the Can Administer Accounts attribute from any employee and you are having A/R balancing problems.
Select Full logging to document everything that is found or fixed when you run this utility.
Click Run now to start the recalculation. When the recalculation is finished, a message prompts you to view the log file.
Click No.
Only click Yes if a Technical Support representative instructs you to do so.
Click Close.
