Using the Hard Tissue Tab

The Hard Tissue tab is used to document the following:

The Hard Tissue tab includes the following:

All charted information is displayed as one of the following modes:

Procedures charted in Proposed mode become part of a Treatment Plan you can present to the patient. See Working with Treatment Plans for more information.

Procedures that are charted as Completed on today’s date are automatically posted to the Check Out Ledger, along with the associated fees.

Colors are used to differentiate materials, type of entry (Existing, Completed, or Proposed), Producer, or any combination of these. You can customize the colors for your office.

Teeth can be switched from deciduous to permanent and vice versa. Charts for patients under ten years old automatically display deciduous teeth, so you can track their growth as they lose baby teeth and grow permanent ones.

An Rx Alert is displayed on the chart if the patient requires pre-medication before an appointment. See Working with Page 2 for more information.

Camera icons attached to a tooth or mouth area indicate that there are intraoral camera images, x-rays or other images available to view for that tooth or area. To view the images, you can double-click the tooth.
