Making Entries to the Hard Tissue Tab

Charting entries are made with the charting buttons. You must first select a tooth or teeth, and then click the appropriate charting button. You can rearrange and customize these buttons to suit your practice.

Each button can be used as an Event for the Automation Expert, which enables you to automatically generate detailed clinical notes, print letters, and so on.

To make entries to the Hard Tissue tab of a patient’s chart:

  1. Access the chart by right-clicking the patient’s appointment in the appointment book and selecting Patient Chart from the pop-up menu, or by clicking Chart from the patient’s clipboard. The Hard Tissue tab is displayed.

  2. Select the tooth or teeth you are charting by clicking the appropriate places in the tooth chart.

  3. In the lower part of the screen, select the charting button that applies to the tooth or teeth. Access more buttons by clicking the different categories: Common, Restorative, Pathologies, or Other.

The appearance of the tooth or teeth in the chart changes to match the charting button you selected.

  4. Pathologies are always charted as Existing, regardless of the mode.
