Charting the Patient > Using the Hard Tissue Tab
The Hard Tissue tab works together with other parts of the PracticeWorks charting module:
Teeth charted as missing on the Hard Tissue tab do not appear on the Soft Tissue or Attach(ed) Images tabs.
Proposed treatment entered on the Hard Tissue tab can be converted to a treatment plan with the Tx Plan tab, and proposed treatments entered on the Tx Plan tab appear on the Hard Tissue tab.
If a patient has more than one treatment plan, the one that is currently selected on the Tx Plan tab is the one that is graphically displayed on the Hard Tissue tab.
If captured on the Capture tab or the Clipboard, the patient’s portrait appears on the Hard Tissue tab.
Camera icons appear on the Hard Tissue tab for images attached on the Attach(ed) Images tab.
Each entry made on the Hard Tissue tab is represented by a text entry in the Progress Notes tab.
Entries charted as Completed on the Hard Tissue tab are transferred to the Check Out Ledger when the chart is closed.
Entries removed from the Progress Notes tab disappear from the Hard Tissue tab.
The Forms and Notes buttons are the same on the Hard Tissue, Soft Tissue, and Progress Notes tabs.
