Entering Treatment Classes

You can use treatment classes for treatment plan management in the same way you can use them to help manage appointments. If you want the Unscheduled Tx Plan Contact Expert to provide a report of patients who have unscheduled procedures in a treatment plan, but you want to see only those who have crowns, bridges, and implants, specify just those treatment classes in which you are interested.

Since you must have treatment classes set up before you can customize your ADA code list (fee schedule) or enter appointments, set them up after all of your patients are entered, but before you do anything else.

To set up your treatment classes:

  1.  Make sure that no computer in your office is running PracticeWorks.

  2.  From the Windows Start menu, select All Programs > CS PracticeWorks > Configuration of CS PracticeWorks.

  3.  From the Setup menu, select Treatment classes. The Treatment Classes window is displayed.

  4. Enter up to 32 treatment classes by editing existing entries or adding new ones. In each field, you can use up to 20 characters of any kind.

  5. Do not begin with a space; it causes a problem if you sort alphabetically.

  1. When you have finished, click OK.

  2. To exit the configuration utility, select Exit from the File menu.
