Breaking Down ADA Codes

Each ADA code has a treatment class assigned to it. This enables you to break the ADA code list into categories other than those specified by the ADA for reporting purposes. A good example of this is the ADA Restorative category, which includes amalgams, resins, crowns, and other restorative procedures. You can use these classes to track and report procedures more specifically than if you use only the ADA categories.

Some examples of treatment classes you might consider using for ADA code classification purposes are: Crown and Bridge, Fillings, Other Restorative, Implants, No Charge, Extractions, Dentures, and so on.
