Charting the Patient > Working with Images
When you delete an image in PracticeWorks, it is deleted from both the patient’s chart and from the shared image database.
If you delete an image, you cannot retrieve it later.
To permanently delete an image:
Right-click the thumbnail and select Delete. The Delete Image Verification message is displayed.
If you are sure you want to delete the image from your system, click Yes.
You can set a minimum security access level for deleting images.
To configure an access level for deleting images:
From the File menu, select Security > Edit access requirements. The Security Access Settings window is displayed.
Set the following options:
The Event Type is Delete an image file from disk.
The default Required Level is 10.
The Write to log setting is Always.
Click Required Level or Write to log to change the default setting for the event.
Click Close.
Image deletions are always logged in the Audit Log, even if the security access level is changed or disabled.
