Charting the Patient > Working with Images
To annotate the image, click Text Mode. The window is displayed in text mode. Use the buttons on the toolbar to add annotations consisting of text, shapes, or measurements.
To add text to an image:
Click Text.
Click and drag the cursor to draw a box on the image. A window opens for you to type the text.
Type the text in the box.
You can change the color of the
text by clicking the Color
box under Attributes and selecting a new color from the palette.
When you have finished typing the text, click the image outside of the box. The text is displayed.
To add shapes to the image:
Click Shapes. The Shapes options are displayed on the right side of the window.
Select the shape you want to use, and then select the Line Color and Line Size to use on the annotation.
Click and drag the cursor to draw the shape across the image. Click outside the shape when you have finished.
To annotate the image with a measurement:
Click Ruler. The Measurement Tools options are displayed on the right side of the window.
Select the tool you want to use, and then select the Tool Color and Tool Line Size to use on the annotation.
Click and drag the cursor across the area for which you want a measurement displayed. Click outside the area when you have finished.
To toggle the annotations on or off, select and deselect Show Annotations.
To remove the annotations before saving them, click Clear.
To save the image with the annotations, click Save.
To return to the original view, click Edit Mode.
