Associating Images

The charting module offers several options for associating images with portions of the mouth. You can associate an image from the Hard tissue, Soft tissue, Attached images, Capture, and Layout tabs.

To associate an image with a tooth or non-tooth area, or to change the way an image is associated:

  1. Right-click the image in the Image Viewer, and select Edit image information. The Edit Image Information window is displayed.

  2. If you are associating the image with specific teeth, use the drop-down lists to select one or more teeth.

  3. In the Region area, select Unclassified, Extraoral, or Intraoral to define the type of image.

  4. If you want to associate the image with a non-tooth area, use the drop-down list to select the portion of the mouth with which to associate the image. You can also select Entire mouth or Patient’s face if appropriate.

  5. If you want to add notes about the image, type them in the Comments area.

  6. Click OK.

You can repeat these steps to edit the image information, as necessary.
