Copying, Pasting, and Saving Images

To import an image from another program into the patient’s chart:

1. Copy the image in the other program to the Windows software clipboard. For more information, see the documentation for the software program you are using.

2. Right-click on an empty thumbnail frame on the Attach(ed) img tab, and select Paste. The image is pasted into the tab and ready to attach.

• If Paste is disabled in the right-click menu, the image was not copied to the clipboard properly.

• You can use these procedures to export images from the patient’s chart into other applications.

To use the Windows Save As function to save an image to a file:

1. Right-click on the image thumbnail and choose Save As from the menu. The standard Windows Save As dialog box is displayed.

2. Select the type of file you want to save: bitmap, TIFF, jpeg, and so forth.
