When you use the Automation Expert to automate specific responses to particular events, the Select Response Type window is displayed. Select the appropriate response type from the list, and click OK. The related window is displayed.

Add form to patientAdd form to patient Select this option if you want a form to be filled out and added to the patient record. The Select form for response pick list is displayed. You can select an existing form, edit an existing form, or define a new one to use.

Add note to patientAdd note to patient Select this option if you want to add a text message to the patient record. The Add note for response pick list is displayed. You can select existing notes, edit existing note templates, or define new notes to use.

Add procedure to chartAdd procedure to chart Select this option in the PracticeWorks charting module. You can link this response with a charting button, and it adds the ADA code to the patient’s clinical record, as an existing, proposed, or completed procedure.

Capture patient imageCapture patient image Select this option if you wish to obtain a patient image using supported imaging equipment.

Create documentCreate document Select this option if you want to print a document that you have created with the word processor built into the PracticeWorks software. These documents can be printed immediately, or queued up to print in batch form later.

Display a messageDisplay a message Select this option if you want a pop-up message box to appear, such as a message that prompts you to gather or give information.
