Selecting an Event Type in the Automation Expert

To link responses to events, select the event. The steps for selecting an event vary for each type of event.

To select a system event:

1. From the Experts menu, select Automation Expert > Events > System events. The System Events window is displayed.

2. Highlight the system event you want to link with a response and click Define AutoLinks. The Current AutoLinks for… window is displayed.

To select a button event:

1. Right-click on an Actions button anywhere in PracticeWorks.

2. Click Define AutoLinks on the pop-up menu. The Current AutoLinks for… window is displayed.

To select a posting event:

1. From the Lists menu, select Transaction codes. The Transaction Code Pick List is displayed.

2. Highlight the transaction code that you want to link and click Edit. The Transaction Code Definition window is displayed.

3. Click Posting AutoLinks. The Current AutoLinks for… window is displayed.
